The OBT Wisla Project

With this project we create Original Buddha Temples around the first monastery in the Korean Zen Buddhism tradition in Poland which is being built in the mountains near Wisla town and belongs to the UNSU Foundation – an organization created by the Kwan Um School of Zen Sunims.

The region is known to be one of the best in Poland for the forests, due to a high level of precipitation and mild climate.

There are trees in the forests nearby which have grown up to almost 60 meters during 115 years and are the tallest in the country. The amount of wood in some forests around exceed 10 000 m3 per hectare, counting the trunks only.

You can start offsetting your carbon emissions with this project now!

Zen of planting trees

How to plant trees with care?

Igor Piniński JDPSN in his tutorial explains how to give a good start for a tree you plant

Make a forest, make a temple

It is not the number of trees planted which really counts. The most important is to pay attention during planting, to give the seedlings what they need, and take care of them later, so they can grow healthy and use the soil, water, space and time to help everybody.

Carbon

Offsetting

Calculate your carbon emissions, reduce what you can and offset what you can’t reduce through the Original Buddha Temples project.

There is still a chance to stop the growth of grenhause gases level in the atmosphere if we lower down our emissions and extend the area of natural ecosystems
